On The Road Again

San Diego, California

(December 1-6, 2006)

We made it to California without any problems. The weather all along was great. When you think of California, you really don't think of the vast open arid land east of the mountains.

As we drove along at 55 miles per hour, we talked about the problems the settlers must have had when they were driving their covered wagons across this land.

As we were in the mountains, the rain was so hard that visibility was down to a couple of car lengths. At least the RV was washed off a bit. The hard rain stopped as we entered the city. And they say "it never rains in California". I beg to differ.

San Diego's weather was warm with a little rain, but VERY congested. We were reminded what we didn't care about this state, so many people in the same place.

We spent six days in San Diego and had a good time visiting my brother, Jim.

We are going to eat our way across the country with all of our friends and relatives. Now is that a quest you can sink your teeth into? Oh, that was really bad!

San Diego RV Resort was a nice place. We had a chance to enjoy one of the most exciting activities that RVers relish and look forward to with batted breath. Yes, it is the wonderful activity of washing clothes. Just thinking about watching the dryer spinning around and around just starts my heart racing. Do you see how wonderful retirement can be? We just wished everyone can have this much fun.
