On The Road Again

Memphis, Tennessee

Bowling Green, Kentucky

We moved on from Texas and headed north-ish. One park on the Mississippi river was very nice. It is quiet even as the tug boats push the barrages up and down the river.

We had to have our pictures taken by the Mississippi. The section of the park where we stayed was very close to the water.

Almost all of the parks we have visited have not been level. This one was so level that I didn't need the RV jacks at all. One less task.

Our next stop was Camping World in Bowling Green, KY. I have been planning to buy a brake system for the car. This is used while it is towed. Stopping an RV while pulling a 3000 pound car will increase the stopping distance a lot. There have been a couple of times that I wasn't sure I was going to stop in time. With this new system, we can stop in a shorter distance than the RV by itself. Also, there are some states that require the added braking system. So, we are legal.

Julia can be almost anywhere and still do her "thing". Camping World inspected the RV and found that the tread on the back four tires were getting low. They replaced them and found that two of them had large cracks in them. We are lucky that we found them here and not on the road somewhere. Now our "baby" has all new "shoes. We bought two new ones just before we started this journey.
