On The Road Again
Gering, Nebraska
(August 31, 2007)
It is that time again, we are here in Gering to visit family. The city park is quiet and spacious and the people are friendly.

Julia lost no time catching up with Auntie Marie and Nelda. Marie is 90 years young with one eye stitched closed and can't see very well with the other one. She can't hear very well and she can't walk that well. But, this lady has a better attitude than a much younger gal with good health. We all could learn from Marie.

You know that we are eating our way around the country. We keep our eyes open for good food and my favorite is ribs. We now know the best "riber" in Nebraska. Steve cooked up a storm and we ate way too much.... finger lickin gooood!!

The sun shines really bright, as you can see in the smiles of Shawn, Mackenzie and Memorie. The kids are getting older before our eyes.

Nebraska has a unique way of mowing their lawns. Here are a couple of them working on Tiffany's lawn. They do a good job and then they are moved to another area. Boy, I wished I had them in Indy. That 1/2 acre took a looooong time to mow.

You know that we like to find a place to get sweaty and tired. I take Julia only to the finest places ... Well, this may be an exception. The people are nice, though.
