Merry Christmas from the wondering Croyts family.

Is Christmas about Jesus Christ or Santa Claus? I guess, it depends upon your center of reference. If you center your life around things, then Santa may be your answer. If your life is centered around caring for and helping others, then your answer may be Christ.

What if we let that little child inside us out for a short time and let Santa give to others through each of us? Any of you that has a child knows what it is like to see him/her excitedly open a gift that you lovingly picked out. As we get older and have more stuff than we could ever possible need, we could adopt a family with kids that will not have much this Christmas and direct our resources their way.

I am not saying that I equate Santa and Christ. There is no comparison. One is the King of Kings and holy God. The other is a symbol of giving or as the kids see it… getting. Santa is just one time of the year, while Christ is all year long.

Merry Christmas

Greetings….in the name of the Lord God, Christ Jesus, the reason for all the seasons!

While traveling around this great country, we have found, for the most part, that people are the same most everywhere.

In the Midwest it seems as though people show there patriotism a lot more and are not afraid to talk about their faith in Christ. This is a wonderful time to share the real celebration of the birth of Christ, even when department stores are getting away from using the word “Christmas”.

It is even more disheartening, when our own government forgets where freedoms come from and what our county was build upon. But, even worse than that are the false pastors who have abandon Gods’ truths. We know that we have been told that these things will continue to increase as we are drawing closer to His return. So, lets take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to continue to share our Lord, at a time such as this. Our hope is in Christ and not in this world. As the world continues to glorify evil behavior, we can be assured that time is drawing near, we don’t know the day nor the time, but we have the signs. So, we rejoice in celebrating the exciting good news of our Saviors’ birth. We who have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior will have eternal life with Him.

Well, another year has passed and we are still wandering around and are well and happy. When we first started on this journey on Oct 2006, Julia said that she didn’t know if she wanted to live on the road forever and wanted a year to see if she would like it. Well, October passed and she still doesn’t know and wants another year to see if she wants this type of life style. We had no idea that there were so many people out here “full-timing” in their RVs. It is a whole other type of lifestyle.

We have been staying longer at each park and driving less. The park fees are much lower this way and we can see more of the area. So far this year, our path has taken us from Hemet, CA to Torrance, CA to Flagstaff, AZ to Livingston, TX to Indianapolis, IN to Cottonwood, AZ to Flagstaff, AZ to Albuquerque, NM to Colorado Springs, CO to Gering, NE to Flagstaff, AZ and to Hemet, CA for the winter. As you can see, we don’t know what a straight line is. We are thinking about checking out Oregon and Washington for the summer. We are in search of cool weather when the temperature gets too high.

People around the country are very nice. We met Traci while visiting the monument near Gering, NE. Linda and Carol, both are teachers, were at the Flying W Ranch dinner. As you can guess, Julia had a lot to share with them. Julia knew Sue and Dean Stokka from California, but we visited them in Kingman, AZ.

This would not have been a good year without seeing Sophia play dress-up, playing at the park and shopping. She is growing up sooo fast. One thing we miss is seeing her grow daily. Chris and Angela are doing well in Flagstaff. Chris performed his 1st Flagstaff baptism.

We always thank our Lord for you and those the Lord puts in our lives. We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a God centered New Year.
